How Secure Is It?

Security is an important issue with any connection to the Internet. On a wireless connection, there are two considerations; securing data transmissions, and protecting your computer from hackers. MHO DirectWave uses encryption when transmitting data over the wireless connection through our network. This prohibits unauthorized access to your data. In addition, MHO Networks requires MAC address authentication for all of our subscribers in order to access the network. This prevents anyone that is not an MHO Networks client from accessing our network and 'hacking' or 'cracking' any data. On all our users' endpoints, a firewall can be installed to prohibit any unauthorized access. Home users are advised to install security software on their system, and that software can be purchased or downloaded from any of these, and other vendors:

Zone Alarm Pro
BlackIce Defender
Sybergen Secure Desktop
Avirt SOHO
